Dealing with Change
Many people are afraid of change. Change affects our lives
in either a negative or positive way. The question is how
to cure our fear of change, not how to avoid it. Life is made
up of changes every day. Even the most envied people experience
change in their lives. Nobody can avoid it.
The most important thing is not how to avoid changes in
our lives but how to deal with them and learn from them. Don't
let the obvious problems overwhelm you but learn to analyze
the situation and deal with the experience.
There is no doubt that some changes will have a negative
impact on your life. Don't let these negative experiences
overwhelm you. Use those experiences to learn and become stronger.
Analyze what happened in the situation and think of how you
could have handled it differently to have changed the outcome
to a more positive result.
Remember, the unexpected can happen at any time. But don't
be afraid to take the risk, expecting the unexpected to be
bad. Change can have a positive impact on your life just as
well as negative. Life is monotonous and boring without some
change in it.
Here are a few ideas to help you deal with changes in your
life:
- Try to think of the positive impacts that will result
from the change.
- Try picturing someone else in your situation. How would
they handle it? Then emulate those actions yourself.
- Ask yourself - What is the worst that can happen? Then
find solutions to those scenarios. Feeling prepared will
make you feel stronger.
